Dear RRAA 5th Grade Students and Parents,

Welcome to 5th grade! I hope you are as excited as I am and that this next year you make many new friends, indulge in fresh discoveries, and challenge yourself to continue growing as a learner.

I am pleased to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and welcome your student to the fifth grade at Red River Academic Academy. This will be my 20th year teaching in Red River Parish. I am a product of Red River Parish and graduated high school from Coushatta High School (when it was CHS). I have been married to my husband, Richie, for 25 years and we have three children. Cameron is almost 24, Chloe is 20, and Cauldan is 17. All of my children have been in the Red River Parish school system since they started school. I am invested in the success of our school system because I plan on being in this area for the rest of my life. I want to help the students of the school system to grow into contributing members of society. I am a firm teacher that believes all students are capable of success.

It is my ultimate goal for each of my fifth grade students to experience success and to foster a love of learning. I am thrilled to work with you and your child over the course of the school year.
